Peloton Interactive has recalled about 833,000 units of its Original Bike+ Model PL02 after reports that the seat post assembly could break during use, posing a risk of falls and injuries.

Peloton has received three reports of the seat post breaking and detaching during use, including two incidents that resulted in injuries from falls.

According to a statement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers have been urged to stop using the recalled bikes and contact Peloton for a free repair. The company is offering customers a replacement seat post that can be self-installed.

The recall follows a 2023 voluntary pullback of more than 2 million of Peloton’s original model bikes, which were recalled over a similar seat post issue.

The Peloton Original Series Bike+ units have a model number of PL02 and serial numbers starting with the letter “T.” The serial number can be found inside the front fork, behind the front fork, or behind the flywheel.

The bikes were sold at Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online at onepeloton.com, ebay.com, Amazon.com, and Dickssportinggoods.com from January 2020 through April 2025 for about $2,495
