Pelican International Inc., the Canadian maker of kayaks, canoes, pedal boats and fishing boats, hired Mark Donovan as vice president of sales & marketing.


Donovan brings over 20 years of senior experience in sales with several outdoors companies.  Prior to his current role, Donovan served as vice president of worldwide sales at Mission Itech Hockey.  After joining the company in 1996, Mr. Donovan progressed through a series of positions with increasing responsibility. Mark Donovan has a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Concordia University and a postgraduate certification from the University of Notre-Dame.


His career also includes 17 years in sales management at Starter Canada.  For the last three years, he served as national sales manager for this licensed apparel company.
