Runner’s World has presented the Pearl Izumi syncro Float with the “Best Debut” award in their annual spring Shoe Review. The award will be announced in the March issue of Runner’s World, which hits news stands February 1st.

In 2005, Pearl Izumi introduced a new midsole technology – SyncroFrame -and new materials that significantly improve running shoe performance. The SyncroFrame guides the foot, disperses pressure throughout the midsole, and improves efficiency-while new cushioning materials increase shock absorption.

The syncro Float’s patented design provides comforting guidance in a cushioning shoe. The SyncroFrame, combined with SkyDex cushioning and high rebound EVA, creates a smooth ride from heel strike to toe-off. SyncroFrame technology uses a unique combination of materials to give the competitive runner superior shock attenuation and energy return. Both the syncro Seek and the syncro Float feature Pearl Izumi’s acclaimed Seamless Upper Technology, an innovation in Pearl Izumi’s full line of running footwear. In addition, the Seek was selected as one of only four trail shoes reviewed in Outside Magazine’s Buyer’s Guide that will be released in March.

Pearl Izumi is also announcing the May release of the 2005 syncro Guide stability shoes that will introduce the SyncroFrame technology to the stability category. For an early fall release, Pearl Izumi will introduce the syncro Shift XCR ® the market’s first Gore-Tex XCR road running shoe. Both of these models come in men’s and women’s sizes, and will feature the same SyncroFrame technology recognized in the March issue of Runners’ World.
