Pacific Sunwear of California reported that total sales for the four weeks of October of fiscal 2004 were $74.9 million, an increase of 19.6% over total sales of $62.6 million for the four weeks of October of fiscal 2003. Company same-store sales increased 8.5% for the comparable four-week period ended Oct. 30, 2004. PacSun same-store sales increased 8.3% and d.e.m.o. same-store sales increased 10.0%.

Total sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2004 (13 weeks) were $329.1 million, an increase of 17.0% over total sales of $281.3 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2003 (13 weeks). Company same-store sales increased 6.6% for the third quarter of fiscal 2004 with PacSun same store sales up 6.8% and d.e.m.o. same-store sales up 4.8%.

Total sales for the first nine months (39 weeks) of fiscal 2004 were $849.0 million, an increase of 18.9% over total sales of $714.0 million for the first nine months (39 weeks) of fiscal 2003. Company same-store sales increased 8.4 percent for the first nine months (39 weeks) of fiscal 2004 with PacSun same store sales up 8.8% and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 4.7%.
