Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. announced that Carl W. Womack, the company's Senior Vice President and CFO, will retire later this year. Mr. Womack plans to remain in his current role with the company until his successor has been selected and retained in order to ensure a smooth transition. The company will commence a search for Mr. Womack's successor.

“My years at Pacific Sunwear have been truly incredible and I am proud to have been able to make contributions to the company's growth and development. I will miss the stimulation of working with a very talented group of individuals and team that make up Pacific Sunwear but I also look forward to pursuing other personal interests following my retirement,” said Mr. Womack.

“Carl has provided us with excellent financial leadership during critical periods of our development as a company, including our initial public offering in 1993 and subsequent periods of tremendous growth,” Greg Weaver, Chairman and CEO, commented. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his extraordinary contributions to Pacific Sunwear's success during his many years of service with the company.”
