Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. reported that net sales for the five weeks of fiscal September, ending October 1, 2005 were $113.7 million, an increase of 14.8% over total sales of $99.0 million during the same period last year. Total company comparable store sales increased 5.3% during the same period. PacSun same store sales increased 5.5% and d.e.m.o. same store sales increased 4.0% compared to the same five week period last year.

Total sales for the first eight months (35 weeks) of fiscal 2005 were $878.5 million, an increase of 13.3% over total sales of $775.1 million for the same period last year. Company same store sales increased 3.3% during the same period with PacSun same store sales up 3.6% and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 1.3%.

The company is comfortable with the First Call consensus estimate for the third quarter of $0.51 per share, and reiterates its annual guidance of 15 to 20 percent net income growth for the fiscal year ending January 28, 2006.
