Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has hired C. Joseph Harris to the position of Vice President of Sourcing and Production. Mr. Harris will be responsible for the sourcing and production of all private label merchandise for PacSun and d.e.m.o., which accounts for about 33% of total company sales.

“We are very pleased to announce that Joseph Harris will be joining us as Vice President of Sourcing and Production,” stated Tim Harmon, the Company's President and Chief Merchandising Officer. “Joseph's global supply chain management experience is truly impressive and will greatly benefit us as we grow from 900 stores to 1,400 stores over the next three and a half years,” concluded Mr. Harmon.

Mr. Harris comes to Pacific Sunwear with 21 years of retail and apparel experience. From February 2001 to April 2004, Mr. Harris worked for Rousso Apparel Group, Inc. serving as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, he worked at Liz Claiborne, Inc. as Group Vice President/Director, Manufacturing and Sourcing from December 1997 to February 2001. Prior to that, Mr. Harris held various sourcing and production positions including at Casual Corner Group, Inc., Cygne Designs, Inc., Jones New York, Inc. and others.

Mr. Harris will report to Tim Harmon, the Company's President and Chief Merchandising Officer.

Diane Nance, who has served as the Company's Vice President of Sourcing and Production for the Company since 1994, will be leaving the Company on April 30, 2004. “Diane Nance has been instrumental in helping the Company establish a global sourcing supply and building an internal sourcing and production team. We wish Diane much success in her future endeavors,” said Mr. Harmon, the Company's President and Chief Merchandising Officer.
