Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. reported that total sales for the month of August were $175.7 million, a 10.9% increase over total sales of $158.4 million during the same period last year. Total Company same store sales increased 2.6% during the same period. By concept, PacSun same store sales increased 3.2% and d.e.m.o. same store sales decreased 3.1% compared to the same four week period last year.
Total sales for the first seven months (30 weeks) of fiscal 2005 were $764.8 million, an increase of 13.1% over total sales of $676.1 million for the same period last year. Company same store sales increased 3.0% during the same period with PacSun same store sales up 3.3% and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 0.8%.
