P448, the Italian sneaker brand, appointed Jordan Morrell as its new chief executive officer.
Morrell worked for Nike for nearly 11 years, from October 2010 to June 2021, with roles including VP of Strategy and Operations/GM of Nike Design (Global); senior director, GM of NIKEiD and Nike+ Digital (North America); and director, strategy and business development of Nike Direct (North America).
Morrell briefly joined Next Coast Ventures, a Texas-based venture capital firm, for six months before joining Archipelago, the parent of OluKai, Melin, Roark, and Kaenon, as SVP of Product, Merchandising and Design. Earlier last year, he founded SwingShift Ventures, an investment and advisory firm.
Morrell replaces former CEO Wayne Kulkin, who now serves as founder and CEO of P448’s parent company, StreetTrend, LLC.
P448 was founded by street art enthusiasts Marco Samore and Andrea Curti in 2014 in a small town outside of Bologna, Italy. Kulkin met the duo in 2018, established a distribution deal and bought the company in 2020.
“Our philosophy at P448 is to never follow the straight and narrow — literally and figuratively,” said Kulkin, creative director of P448, in a statement. “We are elated to have this incredible new store design created by Woody Yao and anticipate this to have an immense impact on our brand, both in terms of awareness and in reflecting the same sentiment we put into our products.”
Morrell said, “As we scale, I aim to deepen engagement with existing customers while attracting a new generation of brand loyalists through our strategic market focus and enhanced digital experience.”
