The America Outdoors Association (AOA) 23rd International Marketing and Management Conference will focus on strategies to find new customers and grow demand when it convenes in Reno, NV Dec. 6–8, 2011.

“Our research shows that many adventure travel outfitters, guest ranches and resorts are recovering from the downturn. Approximately 78% of our members operated profitably in 2011,” said Executive AOA Director David Brown. “Still, outfitters and adventure travel companies are seeking ways to expand their markets and increase their sales and that’s our focus at this conference and tradeshow.”

“The keys to growth in this market environment are the right mix of outdoor experiences, excellent customer service, destination appeal, word of mouth, and efficiently converting leads through targeted Internet and sales strategies. The conference curriculum is structured around strategies to drive growth,” said Brown.

Customer service expert Joseph Michelli is the key note speaker on Dec. 6. FOCUS.com named Michelli one of the top five Customer Service Influencers to Track in 2011. His books on customer service have made the Wall Street Journal and USA Today best sellers lists.

Michelli teaches the innovations, strategies and culture that the world’s best businesses have implemented to achieve dramatic sales growth. Attendees will walk away with a road map to help them develop customer evangelists for their experiences. Risk management and general management programming will reduce exposure to loss and savings on operating costs.
