Outdoor Retailer officially announced members of its new marketing team, which it hired just before its winter show in January. The new members, pictured from left with with Man vs. Wild star Bear Grllys, are Marketing Director Margie Lelvis, Senior Marketing Director Liz Crawford, and Marketing Manager Jennifer Holcomb.

As senior marketing director, Crawford will use her more than 24 years of experience in business-to-business and consumer marketing, strategic management and business development to oversee and run all aspects of Outdoor Retailer marketing, ensuring that the show is evolving with the current and future needs of the marketplace and promoting the benefits of the show to the industry.

Lelvis returns to the Outdoor Retailer marketing team after four years as senior digital marketing manager at The Nielsen Company (Outdoor Retailer parent company). Recruited and promoted to Outdoor Retailer marketing director, Lelvis is responsible for all attendee and exhibitor online, mobile and social media engagement tools and platforms. Lelvis will also guide efforts surrounding the Green Steps program, Live from OR and other marketing and sales initiatives.

Holcomb will support initiatives related to the show's All Mountain and Open Air Demos, multiple on-site business zones and partnerships with endemic media partners. She joins the team after nearly a decade as an editor and writer for SUP trade, consumer, and business-focused publications and audiences.

“This new marketing team now represents a diverse range of skills and experiences that include trade show management and strategic marketing and also spans publishing, research and digital platforms,” said Kenji Haroutunian, OR's show director. “The team represents a significant commitment and investment in keeping a pulse on the needs of the industry while continuing to create innovative business opportunities for our retail and brand audiences. We have great expectations and confidence in this powerhouse team.”

The new team will also coordinate efforts with external marketing communications partner, Salt Lake City-based SOAR Communications, to continue to deliver a global media audience at all Outdoor Retailer events.

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market will return to Jordanelle State Park in Park City, August 1, 2012, followed by the OR Expo, August 2-5 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. For more information about the show, go to www.outdoorretailer.com.
