Outdoor Research of Seattle, WA has hired Michelle McCready as Product Manager for its Hats category.
 
McCready comes to Outdoor Research with a diverse industry background, including assignments in product management, merchandising and buying. She has worked at a variety of outdoor and active lifestyle companies, including REI and Gaiam. Most recently, McCready was in product line management at REI, where she oversaw multiple categories, including sportswear, outerwear and base layers. At Gaiam, she was part of a team that developed and launched the brand’s apparel line.
 
“Michelle brings a really seasoned perspective, strong industry knowledge and strong product management experience across a range of product lines and channels, along with a retailer’s perspective and a product user’s insight,” said Ammi Borenstein, OR’s director of product for Accessories. “She brings exceptional talent to one of the most important categories at Outdoor Research, and we’re excited to see how she’ll help OR continue to drive success in technical and Mountain Life hats.”
