Outdoor Research, the independent, Seattle-based manufacturer of outdoor apparel and accessories, this month expands the sales region of its rep agency Great Plains Mountain Stuff to include the South Central states of the U.S., including: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. Based out of Boulder, CO, Mountain Stuff has covered the Rockies territory for Outdoor Research for more than 20 years.

“Great Plains Mountain Stuff has done a fabulous job for us in the Rockies,” said Alex Kutches, vice president of sales at Outdoor Research. “We are looking forward to the added investment they have made in their agency to continue our growth in both the Rockies and South Central territories.”

The Mountain Stuff team comprises four active sales representatives: Tom Gordon, Leta Sharpe, Kate Williamson and Richard Weight. Combined, the reps share over 70 years of sales experience in the outdoor industry. In addition to Outdoor Research, the group currently represents Osprey and Western Mountaineering. No stranger to the new region, Mountain Stuff founder Tom Gordon worked out of the Central territory before leaving to pursue his passions in the Colorado mountains.

Gordon has assembled a dedicated, productive team servicing all levels of retail in the Rocky Mountain region. With longstanding relationships and a solid following, Mountain Stuff has broadened its business strategy and skillset to include the South Central territory.

Mountain Stuff is eager to show the new Spring 2014 Outdoor Research product line to the retailers of its newly expanded territory. To contact Mountain Stuff, please email founder Tom Gordon at tom@mtnstuff.net.
