Optic Nerve Eyewear has restructured its sales and marketing team by promoting employees into the positions of director of sales, sales manager and communications manager.

“We exceeded our sales quotas for the first half of the year, and the forecast for the reminder of the year and 2015, is extremely positive,” President Bill Cotton said. “We wanted to honor the core members of our sale and marketing team for this achievement.”

Most notably, Gregory Niver, former sales manager, was promoted to director of sales.

Over eight years ago, Niver started with Optic Nerve Eyewear as a marketing coordinator. His knack for high-level strategic thinking has lead him to succeed in every subsequent position he’s held with the company. His primary responsibilities as director of sales will include managing the global sales force and working with major retail partners on strategic alignment.

Taking over the sales manager position is Josh Miller, formerly an account executive. Miller will now be responsible for the internal sales team as well as managing key accounts and sales retention.

Similarly, Mae Harris, formerly marketing communications specialist, has been appointed communications manager. Harris will now be responsible for the internal marketing team as well as managing marketing communications and public relations.

“Miller was hired in February of 2013, with Harris joining the team a couple months later. Both have surpassed performance goals, steadfastly upheld our core values, and brought value to the company beyond their defined roles,” said Cotton.

The new and improved sales and marketing team is currently looking forward to debuting a new brand and several new sunglasses styles at Outdoor Retail Summer Market 2014, Booth #32059.
