One Source Apparel has hired 25-year industry veteran John Mitchell as vice president of global sales and new business development.

Mitchell has over 25 years experience in the textile and apparel business.  He comes to One Source Apparel having spent the last eight years at Cocona as vice president of sales and new business.  He was at Cocona from near the start and was the key force in building the Cocona customer base into what it is today.

In the 90s, Mitchell started building his textile and garment foundation at Polartec (Malden Mills) in positions within quality control, management and sales. Then he went on to hold vice president level sales positions at both Dyersburg and Outlast Technologies.

“We have been interested in bringing John on board for several years,” said One Source Apparel CEO and Co-owner Fred Butts.  “John brings to One Source a tremendous amount of textile and garment knowledge across a wide variety of markets, including but not limited to Outdoor.  We have been growing over 25 percent per year for the last five years, and John’s powerful entrepreneurial approach is a key ingredient to continue that growth across multiple channels to market. John’s unmatched energy and drive, combined with his knowledge and communication skills make him precisely what One Source needs to deliver a world class sales experience to our customers.”
