Greg Thomsen, general manager of Pacifica, LTD, parent company of Mountainsmith and 105 Meridien, announced Monday the appointment of Geoff O'Keeffe as president of both divisions. Geoff will be responsible for all consumer products under the Mountainsmith brand name as well as Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) products produced by 105 Meridien. He will run both the domestic and international operations out of Mountainsmith’s Colorado offices, reporting directly to Thomsen.

In making the announcement, Greg Thomsen said, “The addition of Geoff to our team will allow us to break new
ground. He has a diversified resume that covers a high level of experience in retail operations and brand management, both domestically and internationally. We intend to take advantage of his experience to help us continue innovating, expanding, and branding.”

O’Keeffe has an impressive outdoor products background and intimate knowledge of the outdoor industry as well as the challenges facing manufacturers and retailers. He has twenty-eight years of experience in multi-channel, specialty lifestyle consumer markets including consumer brands, e-commerce, brick-and-mortar retail, mail order and wholesale distribution. Most recently, he was with Lowe Alpine Systems as President and Director after starting as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held executive level positions at Planetoutdoors.com, Patagonia, and Adventure 16.

“The outdoor business landscape is as competitive as it has ever been,” stated O’Keeffe. “Both Mountainsmith and 105 Meridien are uniquely positioned to succeed in this environment by continuing to offer their customers state-of-the art products and professional service. Greg and the Colorado teams have done an excellent job creating a seriously competitive organization by revitalizing operations, time-to-market, design and customer relations. I am honored and excited to join their efforts.”
