After a strong debut at Nolcha Fashion week in 2013, Oiselle, the women’s athletic and lifestyle apparel brand from Seattle, is returning to New York City on Sept. 9.

There, the company will introduce a strong Spring ‘15 line that’s “brimming with bright tones, architectural lines and subtle yet edgy details that promise to motivate workouts – and wardrobes.” The focus will remain on apparel that's both functional and fashion forward.

“In the past, active apparel has usually followed fashion. Today, it’s striding ahead, setting trends that stylists and cool hunters are honing in on,” says Oiselle founder, designer and CEO, Sally Beresen. “The clean, athletic, urban look is at once simple and modern – giving today’s woman a solution that solves, but doesn’t settle.”

Nolcha Fashion Week is an award-winning event for independent fashion designers during New York’s famed Fashion Week that is not only overflowing with talent but is also host to a slew of journalists, retailers and industry influencers. Amid throngs of professional models that walk the runway, Oiselle is proud to bring something brand new to the fashion world: real runners working the runway.

Oiselle’s model lineup includes top U.S. marathoner Kara Goucher , 5K superstar Lauren Fleshman and 800-meter and 1500-meter track speedster Kate Grace plus other top athletes and Oiselle corporate team members Britney Henry, Sarah Lesko, Jacquelyn Komen, Lauren Penney, Megan Rolland, Clancy McCarty and Morgan Pope.

“Our athletes wear our clothes the best,” comments Bergesen. “To have our elite women representing our brand is not only authentic to who we are and how we’re different – but also to the idea that we need more strong bodies in the media and the apparel industry. Wouldn’t it be great if we could change ‘heroin chic’ to ‘hero chic.’”
