The Outdoor Industry Foundation launched a program earlier this year with the National Park Foundation that allows participating outdoor companies to help support both organizations. The program enables consumers to purchase a $50 annual National Parks Pass through a web link when visiting outdoor industry company websites. To date 17 outdoor companies has signed up for the program.

“The companies involved clearly share our commitment to creating a healthier America by getting more people outdoors and enjoying our national parks,” said Frank Hugelmeyer, president of OIA. “I encourage all outdoor businesses to take part in this initiative and join us in our efforts to increase participation and awareness of the accessibility of our public lands.”

Companies currently posting the park pass banner include Adventure 16, Black Diamond, Canoe & Kayak, Cascade Designs, Climbing, Eagle Creek, Gregory Mountain Products, Hooked on the Outdoors, Horny Toad, Jansport, Kelty, Lowa, Moonstone, Outdoor Research, Polartec, Red Wing Shoe Company and WaterMark. The National Parks Pass provides access to over 388 parks throughout the United States.
