Outdoor Industry Association unveiled its May schedule for for Outdoor University workshops and online sessions, which break down complex challenges and issues specific to outdoor industry businesses.


Led by industry experts and business influencers, they offer outstanding opportunities to learn about current business trends and pick up tips for how to be more profitable. Topics range from retail innovation, research, sustainability to best practices, trade and supply chains and other current issues.

These online webinars are free for OIA members and available for a nominal fee for non-members.

  • May 15, 2 pm: 
Driving Social Media Engagement, Part 3 of 3.
    This session turns the tables and puts you in the social media driver’s seat. If you want to know how to proactively direct how your brand is talked about and “shared” online, you’ll want to be in on this session.
  • May 17, 2 pm:
 How to Hit the Boomer Bull’s Eye and Win, Part 2 of 2. Learn the best experiential marketing strategies for engaging this audience. Learn how to reach them through technology and media, what trends they’re driving and the messages that work best.
  • May 22, 10 am: 
The Chemicals Management Regulatory Landscape. Brands and retailers can become better informed on the most significant chemicals management-related regulatory initiatives that impact outdoor products in the U.S. and globally.
  • May 23, 10 am:
 Navigating the Legal Landscape – Unilateral Price Programs. Explore the current laws and limitations of resale price maintenance, how unilateral price programs work and what benefits and drawbacks exist for both retailers and manufacturers.
  • May 29, 10 am:
 Foundations for Implementing Socially Responsible Practices into your Supply Chain. Understand the building blocks of a successful social responsibility program and make the case for companies to implement these programs based on historical examples.
