Friday is the last day to take advantage of early-bird registration for 2013 Rendezvous, the annual leadership forum for the outdoor industry, presented by Outdoor Industry Association (OIA). A discount of $100 off the normal registration fee is available through June 14.

This years Rendezvous is designed for both experienced and emerging leaders and will take place at Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego from Sept. 30- Oct. 2. Launched 18 years ago by a small group of visionary industry leaders, Rendezvous has grown to become the must-attend annual conference for the outdoor industry.

This years theme – Learn. Connect. Ignite. – describes what industry leaders will do at Rendezvous. OIA has created a robust educational line-up, with a focus on millennial consumer behavior and the future of outdoor retailing. The forum will include tracks dedicated to leadership in a changing world, diversity and inclusion strategies to meet your customer and employee needs, and branding and marketing strategies.

The full Rendezvous agenda is now online at www.outdoorindustry.org/events/rendezvous/agenda.html. This years schedule is packed with eye-opening sessions that promise to educate you, energize you and help you stay at the forefront of trends that are affecting the outdoor industry, so your business can thrive.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Promote innovation and accelerate company culture to meet the demands of today’s 24/7 world.

  • Engage, hire and retain the best and brightest millennials.

  • Explore why diversity and inclusion are critical to a company’s health.

  • Reach the next generation of customers.

  • Investigate the future of retail.

In addition, Rendezvous will kick off this year with the 15th annual Rendezvous Service Project Sponsored by Timberland. This is the perfect way to roll up your sleeves, get dirty and give back to the local community. This year OIA is partnering with Wildcoast, an international conservation team that works to conserve coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife, to help clean up the Tijuana River Valley, one of the largest open space areas in south San Diego County.

Registration for Rendezvous is limited, and prices increase after June 14, 2013. Register now at outdoorindustry.org/rendezvous. More information can be found online.
