Since the relief efforts will be an integral part of rebuilding these communities, our friends at AmeriCares anticipate need for help from our industry will continue well into the future. As a result, many companies that have pledged support have yet to make a donation, since the need for their products has not arisen yet. We expect that as those needs arise, the total value of outdoor industry efforts will increase significantly.

AmeriCares is continuing to send daily flights to the disaster area, and they anticipate a need for tents, shelters, and tarps in the near future. If you or your company would like to participate in the relief efforts, you can contact Randy Weiss at Americares at disasterrelief@outdoorindustry.org or by calling (203) 658-9527. Outdoor Industry Association is planning on hosting a donation center for goods at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City at the end of the month.

Outdoor Industry Association will continue to publish updated equipment needs throughout the relief effort, as well as maintaining a list of all participating companies on http://www.outdoorindustry.org/.
