Outdoor Industry Association Trade Advisory Council (OIATAC) added eight new members. OIATAC provides analysis and advises OIA and OIA members on international trade policy, including importing, exporting, U.S. manufacturing, and other relevant issues. The members also serve as advocates for the outdoor industry’s trade agenda with members of Congress and the administration.

New OIATAC Members

  • Sara Bowersox, global compliance manager, Keen (Portland, OR) – Bowersox has spent 19 years importing shoes for Dr. Martens, Nike and, for the past two years, Keen, her first job in the outdoor industry. She is directly responsible for Keen U.S. and Canada Customs activity, advises Keen Europe and Japan and works with Fuerst Group related companies.
  • Ben Christensen, director of global sourcing and financial planning, Simms Fishing Products (Bozeman, MT) – Christensen joined Simms in 2012 and is currently responsible for sourcing, supply chain management and financial planning and analysis. He is also a 2016 graduate of the Skip Yowell Future Leadership Academy.
  • Jann Futtrell, director of global trade, The Coleman Company (Wichita, KS) – Futtrell joined Coleman in March of 2016 where she is responsible for import and export trade compliance globally.
  • Ted Ganio, senior director of operations, CamelBak (Petaluma, CA) – Ganio has held this position at CamelBak for the last four years where his responsibilities include import/export, logistics, sourcing and product commercialization.
  • Lisa Leffler, senior global logistics manager, Black Diamond Equipment Ltd. (Salt Lake City, UT) – With 25 years of logistics experience, Lefler focuses on international logistics and operations of three global distribution centers. Her broad responsibilities include customs and global trade, regulatory trade compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focused on global duty reductions and freight minimization.
  • Kristine Marvin, vice president and general counsel, Timberland (Stratham, NH) – In her role at Timberland, Marvin is responsible for managing legal affairs in partnership with the VF corporate legal team.
  • Brent Merriam, vice president /outdoor, Nemo Equipment (Dover, NH) – Merriam has been with Nemo Equipment Inc. since February 2012, where he is currently responsible for global sales, sales and operations planning, logistics and supply chain.
  • Mario Roman, director of global production, Marmot Mountain LLC (Rohnert Park, CA) –Roman has been recently promoted to his current position at Marmot Mountain LLC (Marmot, ExOfficio, Zoot). In that role, he oversees sourcing and compliance and aspects of the manufacturing process, and is also directly involved in product commercialization. Previously, he was the director of sourcing and compliance since he joined Marmot four years ago.
