Odlo, the Swiss performance wear company with Norwegian roots, has appointed Marcus Mielke as chief wholesale officer to accelerate its wholesale business growth across Europe.
Mielke joins the Swiss sportswear brand from Jack Wolfskin, where he led the sales organization across all channels in Central Europe for the past five years. During his tenure, he managed a cross-functional team of 32 and delivered notable business growth. Previously, Mielke spent 15 years at Nike, serving in several sales’ director roles across key accounts, including Intersport Central EMEA, Intersport AGS and Sport 2000.
The company stated in a media release, “The wholesale channel continues to be a critical pillar of Odlo’s business, and Marcus’s deep relationships with key customers — ranging from buying groups to strategic, key and digital accounts — make him a valuable addition to the team. His multi-channel experience will also support Odlo’s broader commercial ambitions.”
Daniel Eppler, CEO of Odlo, commented, “Marcus is a humble and truly inspirational leader. I’m confident he will be a great fit for Odlo and instrumental in building even stronger relationships with our European wholesale partners.”
In May 2020, Odlo was acquired by Monte Rosa Sport (MRS), which is owned by Monte Rosa Capital, a venture capital firm based in Oslo, Norway. The company’s portfolio also includes Henri-Lloyd and Janus Wool.
