Pearsall brings nearly a quarter-century of industry experience to the table, including stints in retail and shooting range management, and tenure as an editor with the National Rifle Association and the Gun Digest brand. She has also been a freelance writer and photographer for the last decade, with her byline appearing in dozens of print and online publications. 
 
She is an avid upland and big-game hunter and has been actively involved as a competitor in a variety of shooting sports, including IPSC/USPSA, blackpowder metallic cartridge silhouette, sporting clays, skeet and trap.
 
NSSF has also appointed Justin Morrissey to the position of digital content specialist. In recent years, he has worked as both an intern and independent contractor with several companies in the outdoor industry, such as the Professional Outdoor Media Association, Mallory Communications, Bill Miller Outdoors, Babe Winkelman Productions and others.  Morrissey is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a bachelor's degree in marketing communications.
