The National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) appointed Richard H. Schascheck, CPA, as its new chief financial officer.

Schascheck is a 28-year veteran of association management, most
recently as vice president of The Sanford Organization, an association
management firm. His specialties are finance, strategic planning and
operations.

Previously, he served as deputy director and chief financial officer of
the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and as
an account executive at SmithBucklin, the nation’s largest association
management company.

He will assume his duties on March 22 and will report directly to NSGA President & CEO Matt Carlson.

“Dick brings skills and experience to NSGA that will help the Association continue on the path of increasing its value and relevance to all of its members,” Carlson said. “We are very fortunate to add a person with his qualifications to the NSGA team.”

Schascheck has served on numerous boards of directors and most recently was executive director of the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors and chief financial officer for the Commercial Law League of America.
