According to Golf Datatech, rounds for the U.S. were down 10.7% in Nov. 2010 compared to Nov. 2009 and down 2.3% on a YTD basis. Public access play was down 10.7% for the month year-over-year and private course activity was down 10.8%. A total of 3,855 courses are represented in the report.


By region, the biggest declines came in the West North Central, down 29.7%; East North Central, 20.9%; Mid Atlantic, 16.4%; New England, 14.7%; South Central, 12.5%; Pacific, 11.3%; and Mountain, 7.8%. The one positive region was South Atlantic, up 0.9%.
