The Boston Red Sox have upgraded their sports performance space at Fenway Park to include a Recovery Room Powered by NormaTec.

The renovation comes as the team continues to focus more on recovery and regeneration as a critical element of its success each season. It brings NormaTec’s state-of-the-art recovery and rehab technology to a dedicated area in the team’s home ballpark. The Red Sox have also added a similar NormaTec recovery facility to their spring training headquarters at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Florida.

The Red Sox’ new recovery space is a multi-functional lounge where Red Sox players can utilize NormaTec’s PULSE PRO systems before and after games and training to keep players’ bodies rejuvenated. The team also travels with NormaTec systems. In addition to new NormaTec devices for their major league team, the Red Sox have also invested in NormaTec systems for their minor league affiliates.

“With our 162 game season, including long road trips, the team that shows up to the ballpark the most rejuvenated has a real advantage,” said Brad Pearson, director, sports medicine service/head athletic trainer, for the team. “We feel NormaTec systems are a critical tool to give our athletes that edge.”

“As a Boston based company, it is a special honor to help the Red Sox optimize their training and performance with an official recovery room in Fenway,” said Gilad Jacobs, CEO of NormaTec. “We are thrilled to help their athletes stay fresh throughout the grueling MLB season. We know the team leaves it all on the field every night, so we’re excited to help them recharge between games.”
