Nordstrom has promoted Jason Bell to executive vice president, chief supply chain officer. In this role, Bell will assume responsibility for transportation, in addition to his existing responsibilities at the company.

Bell has served as senior vice president of supply chain operations since joining Nordstrom in December 2021. In that role, he led network, fulfillment and distribution initiatives. Prior to Nordstrom, Bell held senior leadership roles at H-E-B and Target. At Target, he oversaw large-scale, multi-site fulfillment operations and played a critical role in building the company’s food supply chain. At H-E-B, he developed planning and execution capabilities that guided the grocer’s supply chain through the pandemic.

“Jason is a proven leader with deep operational expertise and a strong track record of building agile, customer-focused teams,” said Alexis DePree, chief operating officer at Nordstrom. “His leadership has already made a meaningful impact on our business, and we’re excited for him to take on this expanded role as we continue to improve how we serve customers.”

As chief supply chain officer, Bell will focus on “building a faster, more efficient, and scalable network that supports the company’s growth ambitions for Nordstrom Rack, improves speed to store, and enhances the customer experience.”
