Jones Apparel Group will add women's fragrances to the line of products sold under its Nine West brand name. Jones said it has a license agreement with Inter Parfums USA that covers making, marketing and distributing the fragrances. Terms of the deal with Inter Parfums were not disclosed.
The Nine West perfumes will join other Nine West offerings including handbags and shoes in Fall 2011.
Other Jones brands include Jones New York, Anne Klein, Gloria Vanderbilt, Kasper, Robert Rodriguez, Bandolino, Easy Spirit, Evan-Picone, l.e.i., Energie and many others.
Inter Parfums of New York produces perfumes and cosmetics as a licensee for Burberry and other companies, and for retailers through agreements with Gap, Banana Republic and other brands.
