Nike reached a long-term agreement to replace Puma as the sponsor and kit supplier to Mexico’s Club Deportivo Guadalajara, also known as Chivas de Guadalajara.
Nike will outfit the Chivas de Guadalajara women’s and men’s teams, the youth academy, the Chivas de Guadalajara Esports team, and the technical staff. Chivas de Guadalajara will debut its Nike uniforms on July 18 during the club’s first men’s Mexican league match of the season.
“This partnership marks an important step in the evolution of our club,” said Amaury Vergara, president and owner of Chivas de Guadalajara. “Nike brings a global perspective grounded in innovation and athlete service, and together we share a vision for the future while staying true to the identity that defines us as a club. We are focused on strengthening that connection with our millions of fans and continuing to inspire new generations who see themselves reflected in Chivas de Guadalajara and its legacy.”
Nike said the partnership “marks another important step in the brand’s continued commitment to growing football across Latin America and beyond, with a focus on serving athletes at every level and helping elevate the women’s game. Through long-term investment in the sport, Nike is focused on advancing innovation, shaping football culture, and creating new experiences for athletes and fans across the region.”
“Chivas de Guadalajara holds a unique place in football culture defined by its rich history, identity and connection to generations of fans,” said Camilo Andrade, VP/GM, Nike Football. “This partnership represents Nike’s long-term commitment to football in Latin America and a shared vision to build on that foundation while shaping what comes next. Through innovation and by listening to the athlete’s voice, we are focused on supporting the club as it continues to inspire players and communities across Mexico and beyond. This partnership brings together two brands that share a belief in the power of football to create lasting impact on and off the pitch.”
Puma had been the sponsor from 2016 to 2026.
