Nike, after exiting its five-story flagship store in Manhattan’s SoHo district earlier this year, announced plans to open a new single-story store in a 40,217-square-foot space, formerly occupied by a Crate & Barrel that sits across the street from Adidas’ lower-Manhattan flagship.
A grand opening of the new location, at 611 Broadway, is set for April 16. The location is a temporary location expected to support major events in the area, including the World Cup, the U.S. Open and the New York City Marathon.
Nike closed its five-story flagship at 529 Broadway in January 2026 after Ingka Investments, the parent company of IKEA, acquired the 55,000-square-foot property. Ingka plans to use the lower two levels to open a smaller IKEA and convert the upper levels to office space. Nike had occupied the location for 10 years.
In New York City, Nike operates six other retail stores, including its House of Innovation flagship on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 650 Fifth Avenue, Nike Battery Park in downtown Manhattan, a Nike Unite in Harlem, Nike Atlantic Center in Brooklyn, Nike Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and a Nike Clearance Store in Flushing, Queens.
