In a mega-media blitz that featured a host of its biggest football stars, Nike Inc. on April 3 unveiled its National Football League uniforms under its new five-year licensing deal. The uniforms will be available to consumers at the end of April. The company reportedly paid $1.1 billion for the right to be the league's official provider for the next five years.

Changes to the latest slate of uniforms, which the league will start using in the 2012 season, vary by team. Nike said some incorporate all of the company's suggestions, while other teams chose minor updates.

Nike initially signed the licensing agreement with the NFL in October 2010, and it has since created the uniform elements covered by the pact, including jerseys, belts, pants, socks and gloves. The company unveiled the gear at an event in New York City on Tuesday.

Terms of the Nike-NFL deal haven't been disclosed, but Adidas has said that the loss of the license agreement will result in an estimated revenue loss for Reebok of $200 million to $250 million a year and contribute to the unit's sales decline this year.
