Nike, Inc. has promoted Cimarron Nix, a nine-year veteran, as its new chief sustainability officer, effective March 15.
Nix previously served as Nike’s VP of Global Apparel and Accessories Manufacturing based in Singapore. She joined the company in January 2017 as director of Labor, Sustainable Manufacturing, and Sourcing. Other roles Nix has held at Nike include GM Apparel and Accessories Partner Management for South Asia and EMEA, and director of Labor, Sustainable Manufacturing and Sourcing.
Prior to joining Nike, Nix served as Labor, Health and Safety Program manager and Supply Chain responsibility manager at HP; as manager, Social Responsibility, at J. Crew; and as senior manager, corporate development, at Level 3 Communications.
In her new role at Nike, Nix will move to the company’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Venkatesh Alagirisamy, who announced her appointment in an internal e-mail.
“I’m confident in the leadership she brings, the team she joins, and the work ahead,” said Alagirisamy in an email obtained by The Oregonian. “Cimarron will lead our enterprise sustainability strategy, central to our efforts to protect the future of sport. She and her team will continue to deliver measurable progress toward our sustainability targets while helping shape the vision and priorities for our extended team of sustainability experts embedded across the enterprise.”
Nix fills the position, vacant since September 2025, which Jaycee Pribulsky held. She left Nike after 19 months to become a partner and CSO at private equity firm Apollo Management Group.
