New Era Camaro

Piloti, a driving shoe manufacturer, and New Era Cap, a lifestyle sports brand, released a limited edition collection to honor the 50th anniversary of the Camaro.

“New Era is proud to partner with an iconic brand like Chevrolet and we couldn’t be more excited to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Camaro,” said Jennifer Szarzynski, senior category manager, New Era. “The limited-edition caps we’ve created speak to the connectivity between our brands and offer fans a way to be part of this historic event.”

Inspired by the anniversary and Camaro’s racing legacy, Piloti’s co-branded Camaro Fifty driving shoe is a modified version of Piloti’s Spyder S1. A distinctive orange and grey color scheme, official badging and race-inspired stitching are among the design features the Camaro Fifty driving shoe shares with the actual 50th anniversary edition Camaro.

The shoe will be available in fall 2016 online and at specialty motorsports retailers, as well as through sellers of Official Chevrolet Licensed Products. 600 pairs will be produced. New Era created a cap made of faux suede to complement to the Camaro Fifty driving shoe. This adjustable 9Forty cap, of which 150 are available, will be available on neweracap.com and other retailers this fall.

“The cap’s design is based off of the Piloti driving shoe. It’s built off the suede of the shoe, adding details to complete the story. The mesh detail on the visor gives the cap a sporty look as does the perforated leather strap on the back,” said Derek Pershyn, New Era designer. “The Camaro logo on the front is a tonal, heat sealed, lenticular material that adds the right amount of pop. The slight orange pops of color call back to Chevy Camaro’s 50th anniversary look and feel. Every aspect of this cap was considered when designing, as the both the shoe and cap share similar interior design features like the open hole mesh and tread on the bottom of the shoe and under visor.”
