New Era Cap announced the introduction of technologically advanced caps designed to meet the specific performance needs of golfers. The company is making the caps available to a limited number of golf shops in 2015.
New Era Golf caps will be worn by many PGA Tour players in 2015,
including world golf champion Martin Kaymer, who signed a four-year deal
with the headwear brand earlier this week.

News of the impending debut has prompted many courses to proactively reach out and place orders before the year-one distribution limit is reached.

New Era's featured caps include the Contour Tech ($39.99), which represents the pinnacle of its product design. The Contour Tech is the only cap featuring CoolSkin® technology: a high performance fabric that can absorb heat from key areas and dissipate it to the atmosphere, reducing the wearer's skin temperature. The Contour Stretch ($36.99) and Contour Adjust ($31.99) feature New Era's exclusive, lightweight and breathable Diamond Era™ fabric. This unique diamond pattern uses the CoolEra™ moisture-management system to wick sweat away and SolarEra™ to reflect the sun's rays.

All three caps feature performance sweatbands with MicroEra™, which acts as an anti-microbial agent to reduce odor, and CoolEra, which disperses sweat from your head to virtually eliminate sweat stains that destroy most golf hats. They also feature New Era's exclusive Contour-Bonded technology, which fuses caps together without the use of traditional thread or taping – lessening the weight of the cap and providing ideal fit, comfort and breathability.

“The technology in this headwear represents the equivalent of moving from a persimmon driver to one of today's titanium drivers; there simply is no comparison,” said EJ Flammer, New Era Senior Marketing Manager, Golf. “The proprietary technology and bonded seams featured in these caps will allow golfers to be more comfortable and look better round after round.”

In addition to New Era's proprietary technology, all of its caps will feature Outlast®, which was developed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperature fluctuations. The fabric is capable of storing and releasing heat based on weather conditions.

New Era Golf caps will be worn by many PGA Tour players in 2015, including world golf champion Martin Kaymer, who signed a four-year deal with the headwear brand earlier this week. The company is supporting retailers with compelling POS, embroidering and customization options, and consistent pricing to help shop owners with inventory sell-through.

New Era was the official cap of Team USA in the 2014 Ryder Cup and has been quietly providing caps to PGA Tour stars and OEMs for years. In addition to its presence on Tour, New Era also has a partnership with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), in which they provide caps to all of its golfers. Beyond golf, New Era is the official cap of Major League Baseball and the NationalFootball League among other premier sports properties.

In addition to the Contour Tech, Contour Stretch and Contour Adjust, New Era is offering the Tour 59FIFTY ($34.99) and a Visor ($23.99). The caps will officially debut at the 2015 PGA Show.
