New Era Cap Company has signed a two-year licensing agreement with the National Basketball Association. The agreement, which runs through September 2005, provides New Era with manufacturing and marketing rights in such key product lines as the Hardwood Classics and player identified caps.

“New Era has shown great creativity by continuing to provide fresh and popular design concepts for NBA caps,” said Sal LaRocca, NBA Senior Vice President,Global Merchandising. “I'm sure New Era will continue to provide innovative looks for fans using logos from our Hardwood Classics collection and the names and numbers of our players.”

New Era will retain its rights to manufacture and market player identified adjustable and fitted headwear with current NBA team logos in adult sizes. The company will also continue producing Hardwood Classics headwear featuring historically used logos of all NBA teams in adult and youth sizes. New Era will also market women's headwear under the recently launched nba4her line, the NBA's line of apparel designed exclusively for women.
