New Era, the maker of headwear and the official sideline cap of the National Football League (NFL), released its 2026 NFL Draft Cap Collection.

The collection serves to “elevate the ‘moment in the mirror’” when an athlete sees himself for the first time wearing his NFL team gear and symbolizes the opening of his NFL career as a top draft pick.

New Era’s 2026 NFL Draft Cap Collection features a reflective liquid chrome treatment outlining the team logo, the team’s name on the rear snap enclosure and the New Era flag logo, with elements that pay tribute to each NFL franchise.

After each player’s name is called, they are presented with their team’s New Era 9Fifty cap just before crossing the stage in Pittsburgh, PA, marking the start of their NFL career.

“The NFL Draft is a career-defining moment, and it starts with this unique moment in the mirror, those few seconds — both fleeting yet unfading — when each athlete receives their new team’s cap and adjusts the fit in their mirrored reflection. It’s a tradition that has become synonymous with New Era’s proud role in crowning the achievements of every player’s journey,” said Tim Shanahan, Senior Director of Licensed Products at New Era. “With chrome treatments and localized design features, New Era crafted this collection to celebrate the weight of this moment and to encourage the players to pause, reflect on how far they’ve come, and see the legacy they’re building.”

In addition to the 9Fifty cap the athletes will wear at the NFL Draft, the collection also includes the 59Fifty, 9Seventy Stretch-Snap, 39Thirty M-Crown, 9Forty M-Crown, and the Casual Classic.

The caps are manufactured in team colorways or black and white. On the front of the crown, each team’s logo is accented with reflective liquid chrome piping. The caps feature a reflective silver New Era flag on the side, the NFL Shield on the back, and a 2026 NFL Draft pin. The collection also offers an NFL Shield cap featuring the NFL Shield on the front for a standalone, league-focused look.

To further personalize each cap, New Era added a custom graphic inside the front crown inspired by the NFL team’s story or city, paired with a personal phrase meaningful to that team’s fanbase.

For example, New Era’s NFL Draft cap for the 2025 Super Bowl Champions, the Seattle Seahawks, celebrates the team’s mascot, Taima the Hawk, featuring sprawling wings. Inside the cap is the phrase “12 As One,” a reference to Seattle’s fan base and the team’s connection with the fans they view as their 12th player.
