New Balance signed a five-year deal to replace Adidas as the Official Kit Supplier to England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the England cricket teams.

The deal includes providing match and training wear to all England teams including the men’s and women’s Test, One-Day and T20 sides as well as the Lions and all four England disability teams.

The new relationship will begin with the men’s Royal London One-Day International series against Ireland, starting on May 5. It will also encompass this summer’s ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women’s World Cup, plus the men’s and women’s Ashes series in Australia this winter.

Commenting on New Balance’s new arrangement with the ECB Fran Allen, New Balance’s vice president EMEA region, said:
“New Balance is justifiably proud to seal this landmark agreement with the governing body for cricket in England and Wales. The new relationship signals our strong commitment to the sport, in all formats, and at a formative moment as the game looks forward to enhancing its popularity and appeal across an even broader audience. At the same time, this arrangement stands to underpin New Balance’s position as a leading global sporting brand.”

ECB’s Commercial Director, Sanjay Patel said, “We are extremely pleased to welcome New Balance as our official kit supplier for all England teams – women’s, men’s and disability. With England and Wales set to host three ICC global events between now and 2019, our hosting of the first ever day-night Test Match in this country later this summer and Ashes series for men and women this winter, it’s an exciting time for New Balance to join cricket’s wider commercial family.

“This relationship will form part of our broader strategy to grow the game at every level. It’s a great opportunity for us to work closely with a leading global brand, delivering promotional campaigns which will help cricket reach out to new audiences and achieve even greater exposure as a sport, while connecting with fans across the country.”

To celebrate the partnership, New Balance and the ECB are offering five fans the chance to win a pair of tickets to the official kit unveiling at New Balance’s flagship Oxford Street store on 2 May. Visit ecb.co.uk/sign-up for more details and to find out how to enter.
