VYPE High School Sports Conference and Expo announced that New Balance Raleigh-Durham has signed on as a varsity sponsor of the event and will have two New Balance Athletes at its booth to share insights, sign autographs and meet local high school athletes. In addition, New Balance Raleigh-Durham will host a Coach's Dunk Tank in its booth to help raise money for local high school athletic departments.
“We are thrilled to show our support for local teams, coaches and athletic programs,” said Mark Allard, owner of the two New Balance locations in Raleigh and Durham. “New Balance is dedicated to providing technical product to dedicated athletes. We look forward to showcasing new products and meeting the best and brightest of today's local high school athletes at the VYPE High School Sports Conference & Expo.”
Players and fans will get three shots to dunk a coach for each $5 donation made. All the money raised during a specific coach's turn in the tank will be donated back to their school.
