New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. will open of its first retail store in Massachusetts on September 15, 2006. The store will specialize exclusively in athletic footwear, apparel and accessories.

The New Balance Burlington store will be located in the Wayside Commons
shopping center at 6 Wayside Road, Space E in Burlington, Massachusetts.
The store will feature a “fit for you” theme that embodies the essence of
the New Balance brand: comfort, fit, and performance.

“I am thrilled to be opening my first New Balance Store in Massachusetts,”
says store owner Bob Minihane, “New Balance is a well-known high
performance athletic brand that offers a variety of widths to fit all of
our customers.”

The 3,050 square foot store will offer a complete line of New Balance
performance footwear specifically designed for athletic activities such as
running, walking, tennis, training and basketball. Styles for men, women
and kids are available in widths ranging from 2A to 6E, and the store will
also feature a full line of New Balance high-performance apparel and
athletic accessories. The store will carry a full line of Dunham outdoor
performance footwear as well as Aravon® comfort performance footwear.

Minihane, a veteran of the footwear industry, was a former football
standout for Boston University and played in the Canadian Football League.
He most recently served as New Balance head sales agency representative for
New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for more than thirty years.

The New Balance Burlington store will celebrate its grand opening at 10:00
a.m. this Friday morning with festivities including athletic shoe raffles.
New Balance Burlington will join two existing Massachusetts factory store
outlets (Brighton and Lawrence) as retailers of innovative, high
performance New Balance gear for Massachusetts consumers.
