NBFog, based in Austin, announced the acquisition of TexasHuntFish.com, a online community catering to outdoor enthusiasts. The strategic acquisition, which was recently finalized, is an important part of NBFog’s digital and social media initiatives and provides new, exciting marketing opportunities for its growing portfolio of companies.

NBFog will assume administration of the site and acquire all its assets, including a large library of outdoor-related content, newsletter services and the TexasHuntFish Facebook presence. As part of the deal, TexasHuntFish.com owner, Jason Parrish, of Austin, Texas, and Chris Weidner, of Lexington, Ky., will continue their current roles under the NBFog umbrella.

Its Facebook page features more than 11,000 fans and continues to grow at a rapid pace, and their monthly newsletter is distributed via e-mail to more than 13,000 outdoor enthusiasts.
