The National Basketball Association (NBA) plans to open a new NBA store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood in California. The Los Angeles area store is the league’s fourth flagship nationwide and the first on the West Coast.
As part of the league’s long-standing partnership with Lids and Fanatics, Lids will oversee store operations.
NBA Store CityWalk spans 11,000 square feet and is a short walk from Universal Studios Hollywood. Merchandise will include a wide selection of official NBA and WNBA merchandise and memorabilia, including jerseys, apparel, headwear, footwear, sporting goods, toys, and collectibles from major brands such as Nike, Fanatics, Mitchell & Ness, New Era, and Wilson.
As customers enter, they are welcomed into the “Immersion Zone,” where they are surrounded by powder-coated steel and 24-karat gold installations by artist Victor Solomon.

The store also features an interactive “Experience Zone” playing NBA highlights daily. Customers will also have access to on-site customization, allowing them to personalize jerseys and hats — a signature offering at select Lids locations.
The NBA Store CityWalk will host a grand opening from August 30 to 31.
Michael Brady, global head of Licensing, Commerce & Business Affairs for the NBA, stated, “Since opening our first store in New York, we have been dedicated to offering unique retail experiences to fans across the United States and around the world.”
The NBA has over 200 NBA-branded retail stores and attractions worldwide, including flagship NBA Stores in New York City and London, both operated by Lids. Customers in the U.S. can also shop online at NBAStore.com for merchandise representing all 30 NBA teams.
“We’re proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the NBA by expanding this dynamic retail experience to the West Coast,” said Bob Durda, president at Lids. “The NBA Store at Universal CityWalk is a natural extension of our commitment to delivering elevated, immersive shopping environments for fans of all ages.”
The NBA 2025/26 regular season begins on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, when the NBA returns to NBC and debuts on Peacock as the defending NBA champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder hosts the Houston Rockets, and the Golden State Warriors visit the Los Angeles Lakers.
