Nau is launching the “Grant for Change” program recognizing an individual or group working to bring positive change to their community.  Whether it is a photo journalist creating awareness on climate change through visual storytelling or a designer prompting behavioral change towards sustainable living, Nau wants to hear how global citizens are making a difference.

From July 7th through August 17th, individuals can submit their stories or nominate others at http://www.nau.com. The Grant for Change leadership panel will select one final grantee who will be awarded $10,000 to help further his or her cause.  Nau will also support the grantee’s efforts for one year by hosting content and providing progress to readers on http://www.nau.com.

“Our mission for this project is to find everyday people who are giving back to the community, whether artists, athletes or activists, and who can truly move the needle with both financial support and added public awareness,” said Gordon Seabury, president and CEO of Nau.  “We hope our support and the additional exposure we will provide for their stories on our website, blog and through our media channels will all serve to accelerate their impact on society. And, inspire others to join in the movement for positive change.”

Nau states that positive change is at the core of its business philosophy, and “it affects every decision, from packaging materials to marketing partnerships.”  By acting both as a community organizer and a platform, Nau believes the Grant for Change can help support individuals, industries and the economy intelligently and sustainably.
