Native Shoes appointed Dominique Morisset as the brand’s global marketing director. Morisset will report to the VP of Global Brand, Shawna Olsten, and oversee a unified global strategic approach inclusive of media, retail, ecommerce, promotions, public relations, social media, and events.

“Dominique’s extensive retail, ecommerce, wholesale and marketing background will be an incredible asset to Native as we drive our global propaganda machine forward,” said Olsten. “She understands our rare brand DNA and culture. I’m excited to see her execute.”

Morisset brings 13 years of marketing and retail leadership to Native’s fort. Just prior to joining Native, she was the senior director of global marketing and ecommerce at STR/KE MVMNT, an athletic footwear and apparel brand she co-founded. She’s also held senior marketing posts at Aritzia and Four Star Distribution. Morisset began her career in retail as one of the owner’s of Canada’s benchmark action sports retailers, The Circle.

“I’ve always been attracted to Native’s ability to be innovative and captivate the creative paradigm. The brand deeply exemplifies what it means to build a future classic,” commented Morisset. “There’s a lot of talent in the building, taking risks that are proven. I’m excited to be a part of driving it on a global scale.”

Native Shoes will debut their newest collection for Fall 2015 this week at AGENDA Long Beach, followed by AGENDA New York and Las Vegas, and will also add Axis New York and Playground to their trade show calendar in 2015.
