Fila has named Jay Nalbach as European Key Account Director for the brand. In his new role, Mr. Nalbach will supervise and coordinate Fila’s commercial operations with European Key Accounts in cooperation with the company’s local subsidiaries.

He will lead specific marketing and product initiatives for both footwear and apparel while reporting to Bob Galvin, worldwide CFO and President of Europe for Sport Brands International, the new holding company that recently purchased Fila and its subsidiaries worldwide.

Prior to joining Fila, Mr. Nalbach was at adidas-Salomon AG for 8 years. Most recently, he was European Marketing Manager for Adidas’ Sport Heritage Division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Nalbach led a European marketing and sales team and developed the division’s brand management and range building strategy.

Mr. Nalbach has gained extensive key account marketing experience from managing adidas’ relationship with Foot Locker Europe and his broad category experience also includes production planning and logistics.

Mr. Nalbach hails from Batavia, New York and is a 1993 graduate of Boston University. Fluent in German and basic Dutch, he enjoys traveling, cooking and cycling.

Mr. Nalbach will be based in London, England where he currently resides.
