MyAdventures.com, the online resource for adventurers, outdoor enthusiasts and cultural explorers, has re-launched with a completely re-designed site as an adventure experience network. This re-launch is the result of recently conducted survey of its users.  In that survey 70% said they often have a hard time finding and connecting up with others who share their specific interests.

Many have tried traditional social networks but because those focus on existing friends, they fall short of the networking needs of adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Based on this input, MyAdventures.com engaged with web design and development firm, Tecture LLC, to re-make itself into an “adventure experience network.” Members can now connect up based on their interests to share experiences, planning needs, and even partnering opportunities.

Whatever one defines as “adventure” such as back-packing, camping, mountain climbing, deep sea diving, para-sailing or even taking a road trip, a dedicated adventure-driven community is waiting to share information on http://www.MyAdventures.com. Through the site, OIA members are now able to locate and connect directly with members whose interests fit their product and service offerings.

Members can plan their adventures on the site, then afterwards, tell what happened, complete with “been there” detail, documenting snapshots and links to action videos. Site search capabilities enable users to find other members’ adventures by activity as well as global location.

With the ability to “favorite” members and adventures, tag friends onto adventures and with comment notifications, members are now able to easily find each other based on interests. A personal dashboard lets each member track what's happening with his or her network on the site.

Enthusiasts of all types of adventures, from eco-tourism to mountain climbing, whether far away or close to home, are encouraged to register now at http://www.MyAdventures.com to find their own adventure experience network.

Background
MyAdventures.com is an adventure experience network site for outdoor enthusiasts, adventure travelers and cultural explorers. The site was founded by Keith Bates, an avid member of the 100-year-old Adventurers Club of Chicago which provides “a hearth and home for those who have left the beaten path and made for adventure.” After years of planning, Bates recently partnered with Tecture LLC, a Chicago-based web design and development firm with a unique vision for the site's execution to bring that vision to life.
