Mountain Hardwear has shipped 628 donated two-person and three-person tents from the USA to China, where they will be used to house victims of the devestating May 12 earthquake that left 5 million homeless in Sichuan Province.


The tents arrived June 2nd. Shipping was arranged and paid for by the UPS Foundation, which air freighted a total 125,216 pounds of donated supplies.

 

Mountain Hardwear made the donation in response to plea for aid from the US – China Business Council and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to support the earthquake relief efforts in the impacted Sichuan province of China.
