Moosejaw Mountaineering hopes to scare up some seasonal help next week at holiday job fair being held at a local bowling alley. The retailer urged job seekers to wear a costume to the event, where it will screen applicants for 300 seasonal warehouse and customer service positions.

The online retailer will be holding a job fair on October 31st from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bowl One Lanes in Troy, MI near its headquarters in Madison Heights. Moosejaw is encouraging everyone to wear their Halloween costume and enjoy a free game of bowling. They will be taking applications, answering questions and conducting interviews for customer service and warehouse positions.

Every year Moosejaw hires between 150-300 seasonal employees to accommodate their increased business over the holidays. Many of the people hired as seasonal associates stay on after the holidays and some move onto corporate roles here. In fact 19 percent of Moosejaw’s current corporate staff started off as a seasonal customer service or warehouse associate.

In addition to discounts on outdoor gear, Moosejaw lures candidates with such perks as a hammock lounge, ping pong and Foosball, Beer Fridge Fridays, and no cubicles anywhere and “coworkers who will laugh at your jokes even if they aren’t funny.”
