Brunton's SolarRoll 14, waterproof, flexible solar panel will be included in an upcoming display at the esteemed New York City Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

The exhibition entitled ‘SAFE: Design Takes On Risk’ is the first major design exhibition at MoMA since its grand reopening in November 2004. The exhibit, which will run from October 16, 2005 through January 2, 2006, will present more that 300 contemporary products which were designed to protect the body and the mind from dangerous or stressful conditions, to respond to emergency situations, to ensure clarity and information, and to provide a sense of comfort and safety.

All 300 objects on display, including the Brunton SolarRoll 14, will share safety as a common theme. Safety is an instinctive human need and Brunton is pleased to have the SolarRoll 14 included in this prominent display.

“We couldn’t be more proud to have the SolarRoll 14 appear in this very prestigious display,” said John Smithbaker, President and CEO of Brunton. “Our SolarRolls have a myriad of applications, from safety and humanitarian functions to simple personal convenience while enjoying the outdoors. To be included in this MoMA exhibit is truly gratifying,” concluded Smithbaker.
