Modell’s Sporting Goods will celebrate the grand opening of a 20,000 square foot store located in Ridgeway Center at 2113 Summer Street, Stamford, CT from Thursday, September 27th through Sunday, September 30th, CEO Mitchell Modell announced today.


The ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place Thursday, September 27th at 9:00am.  The first 100 people in line that morning will receive a FREE $50 Modell’s Gift Card.


Festivities continue throughout the weekend, with free giveaways ranging from Modell’s Gift Cards and Gift Packs to Alex Rodriguez Bobble Head figurines. 


Visitors to the store during opening weekend can also enter for a chance to win prizes in two different sweepstakes, no purchase necessary to enter or win:


The Modell’s / Bridgeport Sound Tigers “Sports Fantasy Sweepstakes,” with the grand prize being a Sound Tigers VIP Experience including (4) seats in the Owner’s Suite and a pre-game Meet & Greet with a Sound Tigers Player (game date & player to be determined).


The “Island Getaway Sweepstakes”, with the grand prize being an All-inclusive Vacation for (2) to Superclubs Breezes Runaway Bay, Jamaica.  Twenty-five first place winners will each receive a $25 Modell’s Gift Card.
